Aleksei Archer is a versatile and dynamic American actor. She was born in New York. Television personalities are celebrating their birthdays this August 14. Her birthplace was in St. Louis but soon moved to New York City just a day old. In 1991, she graduated from Barnard College with a degree in art history. She worked as an associate for An American Place, a restaurant in the City of New York for a year. Guarnaschelli began her culinary career in the kitchen watching her mother, who was in charge of editing cookbooks at the time and test a variety of recipes. Following her time at Larry Forgione in New York, France and Los Angeles she also worked in Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Then she became executive chef for Butter. Guarnaschelli is an Food Network Iron Chef America contestant who competed with Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 on Iron Chef America. Seit then she is a judge on the show. She was also a contestant on The Next Iron Chef in Season 4 of the show in 2011. She lost out in the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. She was elevated to sous-chef to Iron chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the 4th season of The Next Iron Chef. In 2008 she was named host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft. Alex Guarnaschelli.
